The FBK has faced criticism and accusations from two of its former employees. What they are saying, and how the FBK is responding
First, former Popular Politics channel host Irina Alleman spoke out; after resigning, she criticized the leadership for refusing to discuss problems that had been building up. A few days later, a long interview with Ivan Zhdanov was released. He is the foundation’s former director, who was fired last fall.
Zhdanov accused one of the FBK’s leaders, Leonid Volkov, of profiting through “front persons” in the foundation’s structures, and also placed responsibility on him for criminal cases against FBK supporters over donations. Volkov called these accusations vile. Here is how the events unfolded.
