Major Russian digital platforms have begun labeling well-known children's books with a warning about drugs, Vyorstka noticed. The relevant warnings were posted by LitRes, Ozon, the AST publishing house, and a number of other companies.

The label containing the words about the "illegal use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues" appeared on books such as:

✹ "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer"

✹ "Peter Pan"

The LitRes service told Ostorozhno, Novosti that "the warning label on such books was placed incorrectly" and will soon be removed.

"In most cases, it was added based on metadata provided by rights holders," the service added.
