The State Duma passed a law allowing Russia to attack any country under the pretext of “protecting Russians.”

The document was approved immediately in the second and third readings. Under the law, the armed forces may be used if Russian citizens abroad are detained, arrested, or prosecuted. The explanatory note says the measure is needed to protect Russians from persecution by foreign and international courts if Russia does not take part in their work.

It is worth recalling that on March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an official arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin on suspicion of committing war crimes.
