Former UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace Put on Russia’s Wanted List
Mediazona noticed Wallace’s entry in the Interior Ministry’s wanted database. A hearing on Wallace’s arrest in absentia under the article on “justifying terrorism” took place back in November last year.
What prompted the case is unknown, but Mediazona recalls that a month and a half before the arrest in absentia, State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet from occupied Crimea called for Wallace to be put on the wanted list over the former defense secretary’s speech at the Warsaw Security Forum on September 30. There he said the country should help Ukraine with long-range weapons “to make Crimea uninhabitable.”
Wallace served as UK defense secretary from 2019 to 2023.

Wanted Lists as a Foreign Policy
Ben Wallace appeared in Russia’s wanted database.
An entry replaced actual policy again.
