Rospotrebnadzor refused to provide data on the content of harmful substances in the water and sand of Anapa after the 2024 oil spill

The refusal to share information about harmful substances is stated in Rospotrebnadzor’s official response to a request from municipal deputy Oleg Yantsen. Environmentalist Yevgeny Vitishko published the response.

It says that, under a decision by the Government Commission for coordinating the work, information about the cleanup is prohibited from being sent to the media and bloggers. In addition, the results of Rospotrebnadzor’s pollution studies may be sent only to the Government Commission.
