Ukraine is expected to resume oil transit to Hungary via Druzhba as early as tomorrow; at least, technical tests are scheduled for tomorrow, according to Bloomberg.

As they say, all it took was for Orban not to be re-elected. Let me remind you that this whole Druzhba story was initially linked to the Kremlin’s attempt, using Orban’s hands, to block the allocation of €90 billion to Ukraine. I wrote about this in detail here.

In general, honestly, Europe should now be thanking Zelensky for essentially helping it get rid of Orban, while risking a great deal, at the very least a vitally important loan. Europe did not take the kind of risk Ukraine did: there is no war being fought on European territory (not yet).
