At Roskomnadzor’s request, VK removed a mutual-aid section for diabetics in the community “Nyura Sharikova. Diabetes,” the public page’s creator herself said.

In this section, users could donate and exchange test strips, glucose meters, and insulin needles free of charge. It was also possible there to urgently find insulin and continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGM) if someone found themselves without them away from home.

“Sales in this section had been strictly prohibited and stopped from the moment it was created. Violations were punished with blocking,” Sharikova stresses.

VK restricted access to the section at Roskomnadzor’s request. The basis was a Roszdravnadzor decision dated March 18, 2026, the social network’s support service said without providing details. Sharikova was not given the document VK refers to.
