Chubais called the cases against former Rusnano top managers “repression” and a “mockery of the law”
The statement appeared on the former state corporation chief’s website in May; the exact publication date is not specified, reports Echo.
"Over the past year and a half, a wave of criminal and civil proceedings has come crashing down on my colleagues and employees at Rusnano, accompanied by arrests, searches, interrogations, and property claims. The total amount of claims filed has exceeded the astronomical sum of 25 billion rubles," Anatoly Chubais writes.
According to him, the initiators of these decisions are the "new leaders of Rusnano, who in more than five years of work have still not built a single factory and have not brought any nanotechnologies to the country," and who also "turned Rusnano into a raider outfit that is destroying not only technologies, but also people’s lives and destinies."
"Unfortunately, I can neither stop these repressions nor protect the colleagues and comrades who have fallen victim to them. I do not know what criminal cases are being prepared next, whose homes will be searched, who will be arrested. I can only state firmly that all these accusations are a mockery of the law, and not one of the accused did anything illegal. All these people carried out their duty professionally and honestly, and the only thing I can do is defend their good name," Chubais concluded.

Factories Failed, Cases Took Over
Chubais says the new managers delivered arrests, claims, and searches instead of factories.
The output was cases, not production.
