Aleksei Venediktov fined over publication of a Living Nail interview on Echo’s website
This was reported by Mediazona and A Word to the Defense, citing their correspondents in court.
The grounds for the protocol under the article on participation in an “undesirable organization” were the publication on the website of the (German) Echo of an interview featuring Venediktov on the Living Nail channel.
The journalist was not present at the hearing, and the defense insisted that the materials had been published without his consent. That interview is no longer on the Echo website.
The Cheryomushki District Court fined Venediktov 10,000 rubles. Earlier, similar fines on similar grounds were imposed on Living Nail host Olga Bychkova and the host of the Diletant channel, Mediazona notes.
🔵In June of last year, the German owner of the internet radio station Echo was declared an “undesirable” organization. The Echo project was launched by former Echo of Moscow employees after the radio station was shut down in March 2022.
