Russia’s largest confectionery factories start looking for guards to “counter UAVs”

Confectionery factories in Russia, including Babayevsky and Rot Front, have begun posting vacancies for guards with “UAV countermeasure functions.” Verstka found the listings on the job search service HeadHunter.

One such vacancy was posted on August 3 by the Guta holding company. It says the company is looking for a 6th-grade security guard who has completed a course “on countering UAVs,” and preferably already has experience in this field. Among the other requirements are “military service,” “professional skills in firearms and tactical training,” and good physical fitness.

The job location is listed as the Abrikosov House, a historic building that is part of the Babayevsky concern complex. According to the requirements, the applicant must organize “reliable protection of the facility,” stop violations in time, and be ready for a “complication of the operational situation.” The salary is 100,000 rubles per month.

A second identical vacancy from the Guta holding company is for work at 8 Melitopolskaya Street. At that address is another well-known confectionery concern — Rot Front. Among other things, the company’s production site is also located there.

Another vacancy was posted by the Sormovo Confectionery Factory. The main facility of the concern on Bazarnaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod will have to be protected from drone attacks. In this case, the employer stated that service experience “in the SMO zone” is desirable.

Also, since August 12 they have been looking for a security guard with “UAV countermeasure” functions for the Georges Bormann confectionery factory in St. Petersburg, and since August 10 for the Penza Confectionery Factory in Penza.
