Russian racing drivers have been allowed to compete in international events with the flag and anthem

The Russian Automobile Federation (RAF) reports that the International Automobile Federation (FIA) has lifted all restrictions on the admission of representatives of the Russian Federation to competitions.

The decision was adopted unanimously by the FIA World Motor Sport Council, they noted.

“This decision is backed by the RAF’s enormous diplomatic work. We have always maintained a professional dialogue with our colleagues at the FIA, firmly defending the interests of our country. We have many top-class drivers in a wide variety of motor racing disciplines. Even under restrictions, our athletes continued to win and prove their high level in international competitions. Now they will once again be able to reach new heights under the proudly raised Russian tricolor and accompanied by our national anthem,” the RAF statement quotes the organization’s head Boris Rotenberg as saying.

🔵At the beginning of July 2026, the executive committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) conditionally lifted the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), which had been in effect since October 12, 2023.
