The Central Bank will not raise fees for SBP transfers from May 1

RBC was told this by the regulator’s press service.

This came after media outlets and Telegram channels wrote about changes and increases in fees for transfers through the service. The information was based on a decision by the Bank of Russia’s Board of Directors, published on the Central Bank’s website on April 1, on fees for its services for transferring funds via the SBP. The release listed the fees and indicated the start date — May 1, 2026.

The Bank of Russia told RBC that the changes to the fees are “editorial” in nature and will not affect the cost of the service: the conditions for SBP transfers for individuals and businesses remain unchanged. At present, transfers of up to 100,000 rubles per month are free for individuals.
