Support the defendants in the “Baymak case”! The last chance to secure a reduced sentence is in cassation

More than two years have passed since a public gathering was held in Baymak in support of activist Fail Alsynov. During this time, 81 defendants have come under investigation. 75 people are behind bars right now, and two more have died.

The victims of this political prosecution are not only the defendants themselves, but also their families: wives, sisters, mothers, and daughters. Their lives have changed beyond recognition. Along with the fact that many have lost their sole breadwinner and are forced to manage the household and support their children on their own, they also support their husbands in prison: they bring packages, save up for visits, work with lawyers, file complaints, and do everything they can to achieve justice.
