Putin Restores Felix Dzerzhinsky’s Name to the FSB Academy
The decision was made in connection with “F. E. Dzerzhinsky’s outstanding contribution to ensuring state security”; Putin’s decree took effect today.
The historical note on the FSB Academy website states that from 1951 to 1992, the KGB Higher School already bore Felix Dzerzhinsky’s name.
🔵In September 2023, a monument to Felix Dzerzhinsky was unveiled outside the SVR headquarters in Moscow, a copy of the monument that was dismantled in August 1991.
