Marketplaces ask the state to support businesses after attacks on Wildberries

The Association of Digital Platforms (ADP), which brings together Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex, Avito, and Kuper, has proposed a package of support measures to the Russian government for entrepreneurs affected by Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on the logistics infrastructure of Russian marketplaces. The organization sent the corresponding letter to Mikhail Mishustin on August 12, Vedomosti writes .

🔹One of the measures proposed by the ADP is direct non-repayable payments from the federal budget. This would make it possible to restore companies’ operations to their previous volumes, as well as preserve businesses and jobs. In addition, affected entrepreneurs are to be granted a deferral or installment plan for the payment of taxes and mandatory charges for at least six months.

🔹Another block of measures is credit holidays and debt restructuring. The ADP is asking the cabinet and профильные ministries to allow affected business owners to suspend payments on existing loans and borrowings for at least six months.

🔹To support business, it is also necessary to create or expand a system for insuring property and inventories against the consequences of emergencies and other external threats, the ADP letter says. In addition, the association believes it would be useful to introduce a temporary moratorium on control and supervisory inspections for affected companies. They also could be exempted from fines for minor violations if those are directly connected to the incidents.
