Russia has closed access to judicial statistics

The Judicial Department at Russia’s Supreme Court has hidden judicial statistics on its website, Russian independent outlets noted.

The department was supposed to publish data for 2025 by April 20, but never did so.

On April 21, Verstka found that all statistics for previous years, which had previously been available via a direct link, had disappeared. The day before, this information had been available.

The Judicial Department confirmed to Important Stories that it had closed access to conviction statistics. “Regulations on publication are being changed, so access to the statistics is currently closed,” the agency explained.

Court Numbers Vanish Before Publication

The Judicial Department hid court statistics and missed the 2025 data deadline.

Again, only the silence worked.
