Kursk Region Authorities Cut Aid for Residents of Border Areas

In the Kursk region, the amount of humanitarian aid for displaced people from the border areas has been reduced. Previously, such aid was distributed twice a month, but now it will be distributed only once.

Those who come a second time are being “turned away” and told to come back the following month, The Insider writes, citing Telegram channels. An official statement says that the “established procedure will make it possible to provide humanitarian aid to all categories of the population through the end of 2026.”

Residents of the region are being forced to sue the authorities to receive compensation for housing, and also to prove through the courts the deaths of their relatives who were killed during the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ incursion.
