Ukraine’s Defense Forces liberated the village of Otradnoye on the border of the Kharkiv and Belgorod regions.

It’s not that the liberation of one village somehow radically changes the course of the fighting in the border area, no, the Russian Armed Forces still retain the initiative and are still trying to push into places where they find gaps.

The point is rather something else: it is already mid-May, and Russia still has not managed to shift to an operational-strategic offensive, while in some sectors Ukraine is even managing local counterattacks.

Let me remind you that last year the pace of the Russian advance began to grow noticeably from late April. This year, however, May is still matching the pace of February.

God willing, it stays that way, although the Russian Armed Forces continue bringing up reserves.
