The Supreme Court has proposed easing penalties for possession and purchase of drugs in large and especially large quantities

A bill has been submitted to the State Duma that reduces the maximum prison terms for possession and purchase of drugs without intent to sell:

➡️for a large quantity — from 10 to 5 years

➡️for an especially large quantity — from 15 to 10 years

It is also proposed to remove the minimum sentencing thresholds so that courts can impose more lenient terms.

At present, these articles provide for:

➡️from 3 to 10 years — for a large quantity

➡️from 10 to 15 years — for an especially large quantity.

😐For discrediting the army or spreading fake information about it, by the way, you can be imprisoned for anywhere from 3 to 15 years. No liberalization is предусмотрено there.
