Tomorrow, in occupied Volnovakha, they will bury Yuri “Sedoy” Burakov, battalion commander of the 2nd Motor Rifle Battalion of the 95th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 5th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade. Sedoy was not killed by an enemy bullet, nor torn apart by a Ukrainian drone. The battalion commander died as a result of being “zeroed out” by the regiment commander Ivankevich.

Back in the summer of 2025, the notorious propagandist Anastasia Kashevarova began throwing a fit on her Telegram channel that lawlessness was taking place in the 5th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade: they had started “zeroing out” not only rank-and-file soldiers and visiting “useful idiots”, but even battalion commanders. In less than five days, two battalion commanders were killed.

On July 28, 2025, the regiment commander summoned battalion commander Sedoy to see him. By that evening Sedoy was unreachable, and his wife began calling the regiment commander and demanding explanations. By then already drunk, he cursed the woman out and said that her husband had “run away into unauthorized absence.” Two days later, Z-propagandists reported that Sedoy was still alive for the moment and was being held “in the basement” of the 5th Brigade while they decided what to do with him. Fortunately, Kashevarova at that time had an entire report on torture and “zeroing out” in this unit and sent everything to the DКВР, while Pyotr Lundstrem addressed the people holding Sedoy:

“I am addressing the people holding Sedoy and the second battalion commander: there is still time to fix everything — return the officers to their units. Do not make them missing persons, do not ‘zero them out,’ do not do things that cannot be undone. You will not be able to hide this, nor present it as an accident. I promise you that I will personally go all the way to the very top. Not to the command you are in collusion with, but to the people who until now were unaware of your existence. You have 24 hours.”

Just like that: firm and clear. 24 hours.

Twenty-four hours passed. A month passed. Half a year passed. And now, by the first anniversary of battalion commander Sedoy being sent “to the basement” by his own regiment commander, the situation has been “resolved.” Pyotr Lundstrem joyfully reported that Sedoy had indeed been vilely killed by his own side. But it is not all bad: Pyotr and Anastasia report that they did manage to defend the truth and achieve “justice” — the remains of battalion commander Sedoy, who was “zeroed out” a year ago, were magnanimously handed over to his wife for burial.

Now Pyotr and Anastasia are raising money for his wife and children, since apparently when someone is “zeroed out,” state payments are not owed to them.

This is the best illustration of why Ukraine is fighting so stubbornly and resisting Russian occupation. To end up in this surreal nonsense, with unpunished torture and murders of their own people, where everyone knows and sees everything but keeps pretending that this is normal, that it is supposedly “for the common good” — no thanks. Anything but the hell of the “Russian world.”
