What people in Ryazan are saying about the Ukrainian drone attack that hit an oil refinery and two residential buildings

On the night of May 15, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive strike on Ryazan. The attack came the day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the military to respond to Russian shelling. One such Russian strike on Kyiv killed 24 people.

In Ryazan, drones hit an oil refinery, one of the largest in Russia, and two apartment buildings: a building on Novoselov Street and one in the Trikolor residential complex. Four people were killed, including a child, and another 12 were injured.

Here is what a Ryazan resident said whose friend had relatives living on Novoselov Street:

There was a powerful explosion; they say the strike hit the third and fourth floors. The ceiling collapsed. The friend herself lives separately with her daughter. In the apartment on Novoselov were her mother, brother, and grandmother. Her brother and grandmother were killed. The bodies were pulled out from under the rubble; my friend went to identify them.
