A resident of Zabaykalsky Krai was arrested for calling to block a road over the gasoline shortage in a message he left in a Max chat

TV Rain notes that the Chernovsky District Court of Chita on July 1 arrested the unemployed Yevgeny Zatonsky for two days in a case on organizing an unauthorized public event, as first reported by 7x7.

The case says that in the “Benzokhroniki Zabaykalya” chat, Zatonsky called for gathering 100 cars to block the road in both directions at the intersection of Rokossovsky Street and Zhukov Avenue in Chita, where a Rosneft gas station is located.

“Hello everyone. Is anyone willing to go out on strike tomorrow closer to 14:00 at the Zhukov-Rokossovsky intersection? If yes, message me privately. We need at least 100 vehicles. If someone is scared, then write right away: I can’t, I’m in the hospital, at work, etc. Let’s coordinate in advance and block traffic in both directions, and when traffic police and National Guard officers arrive, no one should drive away like cowards,” he wrote.

In court, Zatonsky partially admitted guilt, noting that he was not going to organize a strike, but “only wanted to identify citizens who were willing to come to a rally and then hand them over to the police.”
