Russian TV channels downplayed the scale of Ukraine’s strike on Moscow

On Channel One, in the 10 a.m. newscast, when previewing the main topics of the day, anchor Maksim Sharafutdinov did not include the massive attack in his overview of the four key events.

The anchor began speaking about the attack a minute and a half after the start of the broadcast, in the first segment.

The hosts of the programs Vesti on Russia-1 and Segodnya on NTV did exactly the same.

As Agentstvo notes, the TV channels presented the raid of Ukrainian drones as an event that had just happened, even though several hours had passed since the attack.
