On Saturday, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov gave a report in which, among other things, he announced full control over Borova, an important AFU bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Oskil (Kharkiv region).

DeepState analyzed footage published by Z-channels: the Russian Armed Forces passed off the village of Kolomyichikha as Borova, even though it is 25 km from Borova and is in a different region altogether , in Luhansk.

"For credibility," Z-channels spliced drone footage over Borova into the video from Kolomyichikha.

And Borova isn't the only thing in Gerasimov's report. According to it, they already control 85% of Lyman, are advancing toward Shevchenkove, which is 30 km from Kupiansk (!), and are already fighting in Sviatohirsk.

This is, of course, all complete bullshit, not confirmed on any map, whether DeepState, ISW, or Perpetua.

At first I wanted to draw a map with all the settlements Gerasimov reports to Putin about and trace the line where, according to his reports, the front supposedly runs. Then I realized it's much simpler. You can just take DeepState and draw a line with a ruler 3 to 7 km west of the current line. That's the principle they use for their reporting.

And that's where Putin's "we'll take Donbas by autumn" comes from. If they've already taken 85% of Lyman and captured Borova, then it's not just Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, Izium is within easy reach too. That's how it works for them.
