EU countries approved granting Ukraine a 90 billion euro loan and introducing the 20th package of sanctions against Russia
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said this.
“I welcome the agreement reached by the member states (of the European Union — ed. note) on granting Ukraine a loan of 90 billion euros for 2026-2027 and on the 20th sanctions package,” she noted.
After that, for both decisions to enter into force, they must be approved by the Council of the EU.
