In Roskomnadzor’s VKontakte group, users staged an “online rally” against blocking. But their comments were deleted

Roskomnadzor deleted several dozen comments from its public page on the VKontakte social network containing images that politician Boris Nadezhdin had urged people to post as part of an “online rally” for a free internet, Agentstvo writes.

🔹On Friday, the politician proposed holding an online rally for a free internet and against Covid restrictions on rallies in cities. He published images on his social media pages showing a person in a spacesuit with the captions “Online rally April 12. Cosmonauts for a free internet” and “Cosmonauts aren’t afraid of Covid,” and called on people to post them in Roskomnadzor’s public page and on the pages of city administrations where, in March, rallies against the blocking of Telegram had been banned.

🔹By 13:40, at least 100 comments had been posted under a Cosmonautics Day publication in Roskomnadzor’s VKontakte group, with images published by Nadezhdin attached to at least 65 of them (the first comment was left by the politician himself). Other comments also contained statements in defense of freedom for the Runet.

🔹However, by 16:00 all comments with images from the “online rally” under the Cosmonautics Day post had been deleted.
