The Russian Armed Forces do not have a severe lag in many UAV categories. But they are noticeably behind the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the number and quality of interceptor drones capable of fighting long-range aircraft. Overall, innovation in Russia has begun to stagnate because development has been centralized under the state’s wing.
