Moscow Region and Tambov Region heads published not a single photo or video of the fires at Wildberries warehouses caused by Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks
❗️The heads of the Moscow Region and Tambov Region did not publish a single photo or video of the fires at Wildberries warehouses caused by attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the websites and social media of the regional Emergencies Ministry directorates, these incidents were ignored, according to Dozhd's analysis
Dozhd came to this conclusion after examining the social media accounts of the agencies and officials, as well as their websites.
🔹On Moscow Region head Andrei Vorobyov's Telegram channel, the attack, which left 37 people injured and one dead, is covered in two posts. Only one has an illustration, but the photo does not show the Wildberries logistics center, whose fire sent smoke visible across a large part of the Moscow Region and Moscow, but rather a kindergarten in Elektrostal where drone debris fell.
On the regional Emergencies Ministry website, there are no reports about the drone attack or the fire at the marketplace's warehouse. On the directorate's Telegram channel and its VKontakte page, several posts were published on July 18, but there is likewise no information there about the strikes.
🔹Tambov Region Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov wrote three posts in his Telegram channel about the attack on the Wildberries warehouse. Photos appear in only one of them: it is a report on his visit to the hospital where those injured by the strike were placed.
On the Tambov Region Emergencies Ministry directorate's VKontakte page, no new posts were published today, and its Telegram channel has not been updated since April. There is also no information about the attack on the Wildberries warehouse on the service's website.
There are also no photos or videos of the results of the attacks (other than the kindergarten in Elektrostal published by Vorobyov) in the main regional state media outlets: the Moscow Region TV channel 360 and the RIAMO agency, the Tambov branch of the Rossiya TV channel, and the newspaper Tambovskaya Zhizn.
🔵Both regions have imposed a ban on publishing information about the consequences of drone attacks and the work of air defense.
🔵As Agentstvo notes, federal media outlets operating under censorship restrictions also chose not to show photos and videos of the consequences of the Ukrainian strikes on Wildberries warehouses in the Moscow and Tambov regions. Federal TV channels mentioned the attacks only briefly.
🔵The outlet Ostorozhno, Novosti accompanied its first report about the attacks on the warehouses with an image bearing the words:
"Why are there no photos in this post of the consequences of the strikes that have already spread all over the internet? Because the Russian authorities have banned the media and ordinary people from publishing the consequences of attacks other than official reports, and we fear sanctions even for publishing photos from which it is impossible to determine the location."
