The Emergency Ministry reported the cleanup of the oil spill after the drone attack on the refinery in Tuapse

This was stated by Alexei Klushin, head of the Emergency Ministry’s main directorate for Krasnodar Krai, to ministry chief Alexander Kurenkov, Interfax reports.

"Work to eliminate the spill of petroleum products in the area of the Tuapse oil refinery has been completed, and a protective earthen embankment has been formed," Klushin said.

Kurenkov stressed that the main goal now is to clean the official beaches by June 1.

"Everything related to wild beaches or places where people can relax, that work will continue. It does not end on June 1. All beaches will be cleaned," he added.

🔵The attack on the terminal on May 1 was the fourth since mid-April: the previous three strikes took place on April 16, 20, and 28.

🔵After the last of them, the oil refinery caught fire, and residents were evacuated from homes near the refinery. The fire was fully extinguished on April 30.
