Actor Dmitry Dyuzhev has decided to run for the State Duma from United Russia
It was Ruslan Shaveddinov, an FBK staffer, who drew attention to the fact that he had submitted an application to take part in the party’s primaries in order to join the Moscow list of candidates in the State Duma elections in September.
🔹The website says that Dyuzhev is an individual entrepreneur, provides a biographical note about him, and lists his best-known roles, for example in the TV series Brigada and the film Zhmurki.
“I love my Motherland! In 2022, I took part in the ‘Za Rossiyu!’ rally-concert in St. Petersburg and visited Donbas with performances as part of the ‘Days of Russia in Donbas’ festival. Starting in the summer of 2022, I regularly traveled to the new regions. I repeatedly visited wounded fighters in hospitals, helping to raise their morale. (...) I have repeatedly declared my support for the president of the Russian Federation and my respect for participants in the special military operation,” the “Public position” section says.
🔹In two video addresses that SOTAvision examined, Dyuzhev says that he has repeatedly spoken out in support of the war.
“I gave concerts in dugouts, in tents. I practically hugged every one of our defenders,” the actor said.
🔹Dyuzhev also promises to secure quotas, jobs, and business grants for participants in the war.
“Not 3% just for show, but real jobs in administrations, schools, and hospitals,” he says.
🔹In addition, Dyuzhev wants to implement a “Family Navigator” - an AI assistant for finding benefits and payments on Gosuslugi. The actor promises to equip small towns with walking and running paths and to create councils at every nursing home.
