“Govorit NeMoskva”: schoolchildren were banned from wearing clothes with foreign words in two schools in Tomsk Region

“Govorit NeMoskva” writes that such an amendment to the internal rules for students was introduced in schools in the village of Moryakovsky Zaton and the town of Kedrovy.

The order says that the measure is needed “for the purpose of countering the promotion of unlawful behavior, radicalization, and antisocial ideas, it is prohibited to wear clothing with inscriptions in foreign

languages.”

Exceptions are inscriptions that are not the name of a registered brand and do not contain information banned in Russia, and also “do not contradict the principles of universal human morality,” the outlet writes.

In both cases, the school administrations refer to directives from the Tomsk Region Department of Education “On strengthening measures to prevent the spread of radicalization risks among children and youth.”
