Polish security services reported the arrest of three people accused of “acting in the interests of Russian intelligence”

Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) on May 12 in Bialystok detained three Polish citizens suspected of spying for Russia. It is claimed that the detainees acted in the interests of Russian intelligence, and that the information passed on could have harmed Poland.

In addition, they were accused of distributing materials of a “propaganda and disinformation nature” and preparing for diversionary actions and sabotage, as well as of “promoting symbols supporting the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.”

The detainees were also reportedly accused of “publicly approving this war.”

According to the ABW, the suspects raised money to buy equipment for Russian troops and, on the instructions of a Russian citizen linked to the FSB, reported to him the “deployment of NATO troops” on Polish territory. It is claimed that the detainees underwent firearms training and were taught combat tactics.

A court in Bialystok placed all three suspects under arrest for three months.
