I know a young woman who is a webcam model. Her father went into Wagner PMC, where he was killed; at first, he was listed as missing. And at her work she had a regular client who would bring her significant sums. The regular client turned out to be from Ukraine; he is now a serviceman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They corresponded rarely, only when he was in hospitals, but he sent her his salary regularly.

At some point on one stream they opened up to each other, and it turned out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier had been wounded in the same direction where the young woman’s father had gone missing. And they were establishing who currently controlled the village near which her father disappeared, and almost together wrote to various Russian Defense Ministry offices so that the search for her father’s remains would be sped up, since the village where he was killed had already come under the control of the Russian Defense Ministry. This is the most terrible tragedy of this war: it cuts through living tissue, and even after it began, people on different sides of the border continue to reach out to one another.
