The prosecutor’s office will review a complaint about teenagers being beaten by security forces near the Kitay-Gorod metro station in Moscow

This was reported by politician Yekaterina Duntsova.

"After appeals by my supporters to the Human Rights Commissioner, the materials were handed over to the Moscow prosecutor’s office. A reply came saying that the statement about violence and unlawful actions by police officers against detainees had been forwarded to the Basmanny interdistrict prosecutor’s office," she noted.

Duntsova stressed that the capital prosecutor’s office department overseeing compliance with laws on minors had "officially taken this inspection under its control."

"This gives hope that it will now be much harder to bury the story of what was happening to the guys in the police vans and at the police station. I will continue to closely monitor the course of the proceedings, because this kind of treatment of people, and especially of teenagers, is categorically unacceptable," she added.

🔵Since the beginning of July 2026, security forces have regularly started detaining young people in the area of the Kitay-Gorod metro station, a popular place among representatives of various subcultures, often minors.

🔵Force was often used against them during these detentions. For example, in July, while streamer Vitaly, with the nickname ya\\dalb\\b, was walking near Kitay-Gorod, one passerby advised him not to go any farther because "they’re about to take him away now."

At that moment, a police van drove by, and Vitaly decided to wave at it. After that, a police officer ran out of the vehicle and detained the guy.

According to the streamer, during the detention he was hit several times in the face and legs: "Here they are grabbing me by the scruff and throwing me around, f\\\ing, like ten people. They just start beating the sh\\ out of me, they just smashed me in the f\\king face. So you understand, right now I’m just limping, I can’t walk, f\\\."

"They threw me into the police van like an animal. They humiliated us, talked sh\\ to us. One of the police officers took a taser and started f\\king everyone up. He hit my buddy with the taser three times." Vitaly also said they promised to shave him. According to him, there were 12- to 13-year-old children in the police van who were beaten the same way as the adults.
