The Russian authorities are tightening internet censorship and trying to make it harder for citizens to use VPNs. Many Russian websites and apps have started helping the authorities with this: they block users who have circumvention tools turned on. That is why it is best to have a second phone: it will let you hide your VPN and “banned” apps from the authorities. We explain why, if you are in Russia, you really do need another device.
