Security forces visited another Communist Party candidate for the State Duma

Krasnodar City Duma deputy Alexander Safronov reported this on his channel.

"Officers from the Center for Countering Extremism handed me an official warning about the inadmissibility of violating legislation under Article 13.15 of the Administrative Code. This article concerns abuse of media freedom, that is, in effect, abuse of freedom of speech," he noted.

According to Safronov, the document says that the security forces "have information" that he is "possibly" abusing media freedom.

"Nikolai Bondarenko had the same issue in court yesterday: possible abuse of the media in the form of publishing an image of an extremist. Under the label of 'possible,' my warning includes not only abuse of media freedom but other articles as well — I won’t voice them," he noted.

The deputy views this as pressure on him as a "candidate from the opposition CPRF party, conducting an active election campaign and raising issues and problems that are unpleasant for officials."

"Our opponents will not succeed in intimidating me and my comrades. We will continue to tell the truth and fight for the interests of the people and for a better future for our country!" the politician concluded.

🔵On August 21, Communist Party State Duma candidate Nikolai Bondarenko was fined for "extremist symbols." He will be removed from the election.

🔵Bondarenko was a Communist Party candidate for the State Duma from Perm Krai. Earlier, among other things, he spoke out against the decision to remove the Yabloko party from the election.

He was detained in Saratov on August 21.
