In Krasnodar, Center “E” issued a warning to a Communist Party State Duma candidate over possible abuse of freedom of speech

The warning was issued to Communist Party city duma deputy and State Duma candidate Alexander Safronov. He said police officers threatened him with a protocol for abuse of freedom of the mass media. The deputy did not specify what exactly they considered such a violation.

“It says that the officers have information that I may possibly be abusing the freedom of the media,” Safronov claims. According to him, other articles are also mentioned in the warning, but he did not specify which ones.

The deputy said he views the police actions “as pressure on a candidate from the opposition Communist Party.”
