A Belarusian went off to a shift job and ended up in assault attacks.

Belarusian citizen Lazukov Aleksandr Aleksandrovich, born 30.11.1980, recorded a video appeal in which he said he was tricked into signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. This has long since become standard practice for the Russian military when recruiting foreigners.

Aleksandr was looking for shift work and found an ad online for a "suitable vacancy." Obviously, the job was not supposed to be in a library, since he signed the documents without even reading them. That happens too.

He began to suspect something was wrong only once he was already at the military unit, but by then it was too late. Attempts to terminate the contract and return home to Belarus were unsuccessful.
