Journalist Oleg Roldugin Charged in Computer Access Case
Journalist Oleg Roldugin has been charged with “unauthorized access to computer information” as part of a group
Charges have been brought against journalist Oleg Roldugin. According to Novaya Gazeta, where he is a columnist, he is accused under Article 272 Part 3 of the Russian Criminal Code.
Roldugin was detained on April 9. The same day, a search lasting more than 13 hours took place at the Novaya Gazeta editorial office. On April 10, Moscow’s Tverskoy Court authorized his arrest.
During the hearing, it was mentioned that the case concerns unauthorized access to computer information, though it was not specified that it involved a “group.”
