Staff and students of St. Petersburg State University have been ordered to use the Max messenger

The administration of St. Petersburg State University has issued an order requiring students and staff to use Max as an internal corporate messenger "for online communication and information exchange," T-invariant writes.

The document states that the human resources department must familiarize people joining the university as employees with the new rules.

SPbSU employees speaking on condition of anonymity told T-invariant that the order to use the Max messenger was handed down to all departments.

"Naturally everyone is unhappy; before this people mostly kept fending it off. Now everyone is doing what people advise on the internet: installing Max on a second phone. I just installed the desktop version on my work computer. Of course I didn't install it on my phone and I won't," the outlet's source said.
