A banner appeared on Kadyrov Bridge in St. Petersburg with the words: “Mansur Soltaev, where is Seda?”

The Telegram channel “Word to Defense” drew attention to the banner addressed to Chechnya’s human rights commissioner Mansur Soltaev.

Three years ago, Seda Suleimanova was forcibly taken from St. Petersburg to Chechnya and handed over to her relatives. Mansur Soltaev was the last person to publish photos and videos of her: on August 29, 2023, the official claimed that the young woman was safe and feeling well. Later, he posted a video in which Seda silently walks behind him with her head lowered. She has not been seen publicly since.

🔵On August 24, a report was filed against Lena Patyaeva, Seda Suleimanova’s friend, over a picket in Grozny on the third anniversary of the Chechen woman’s disappearance: the woman came out with a sign reading “I demand an investigation into the murder of Seda Suleimanova.”
