CIA Director John Ratcliffe Has Arrived in Moscow, CBS News Insider Jennifer Jacobs Reports...
❗️CIA Director John Ratcliffe has arrived in Moscow, CBS News insider Jennifer Jacobs reports.
It was Ratcliffe’s motorcade that eyewitnesses spotted in Moscow today (video 4).
There is no other information about Ratcliffe’s visit.
In theory, Ratcliffe could meet with Sergey Naryshkin, his counterpart at the Foreign Intelligence Service.
The last time the heads of the CIA and the SVR met was back in November 2022. At that time, William Burns met with Naryshkin in Ankara. Back then, it was reported that Burns warned Naryshkin against the use of nuclear weapons - remember, that was when Shoigu was calling Western leaders and threatening everyone with a "dirty bomb" while the Russian Armed Forces were fleeing from Kharkiv and retreating from Kherson.
There is currently no information about the purpose of Ratcliffe’s visit to Moscow. But Western insiders will probably tell us soon. We’ll keep watching.
I’ll add that Ukraine has no reason to worry because of Ratcliffe’s visit. Ratcliffe is a friend of Ukraine and its biggest supporter in the current Trump administration. Even more so than Rubio and Bessent.
So he is definitely not going there to sell out Ukraine’s interests. This is much better than if Witkoff and Kushner had arrived at the Kremlin incognito.
The Visit Arrived Before Any Explanation
The CIA chief was seen in Moscow, but nobody knows the visit's purpose.
The rest, apparently, will be delivered by insiders.
