Lavrov gave an interview to the outlet “Children’s Editorial Office” and told teenagers about the revival of “the ideology of Nazism and the practice of Nazism”
In an interview with “Children’s Editorial Office,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that “the importance in our foreign policy work of the tasks of preventing the revival of Nazism” has increased, and that Putin “approved” these tasks.
🔹According to him, “now, under the same flags of Nazism and revanchism, they are creating a pan-European attack group against Russia, already not only by hybrid methods, but they are also thinking about a physical attack.”
🔹In Lavrov’s view, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has allegedly been placed “at the head of this group.” He also added that “we were convinced that Nazism had been defeated,” commenting on plans that Germany “must once again become Europe’s leading military force.”
🔹The interests that Russia is “defending” on the international stage, in Lavrov’s opinion, “are lawful and consistent with the UN Charter.” At the same time, according to him, some other countries have illegitimate interests:
“When they say, we don’t like that there’s some guy nearby dealing drugs, so now we’re going to kidnap him. Or, they say, Iran has supported terrorism for 47 years (without any facts whatsoever), so now we’re going to bomb Iran and kill all its presidents and leaders.”
🔹In response to the question of “whether truth always helps countries come to an agreement or whether it sometimes gets in the way,” Lavrov said that “in conditions of an irreconcilable clash, of course, cunning is an inevitable quality of a warrior and of a person who wants to help his country.”
🔹Answering a question about fatigue, Lavrov advised people “not to strain themselves” and “to take everything philosophically.”
