Zelensky Confirmed the Attack on the Oil Refinery in Yaroslavl
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel.
“Last night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces operated against the oil refinery in Yaroslavl — around 700 kilometers from our territory. We are bringing the war home to Russia, and that is entirely fair,” he wrote.
Zelensky added that “certain targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine” were also attacked.
The outlet Astra reported that the likely target of the overnight attack was the Novo-Yaroslavsky oil refinery (Slavneft-YANOS). The governor of Yaroslavl Region said in the morning that drones had been shot down “on their approach to Yaroslavl.”
