In Sverdlovsk Region, the LDPR is trying to remove Yabloko from the election

The party has filed a lawsuit seeking to remove Yabloko’s list from the regional parliament elections, Yabloko’s press service said. The case will be heard on August 28.

In its lawsuit, the LDPR cites three grounds: Yabloko’s use of information resources with restricted access (Instagram and Facebook), violation of intellectual property law during campaigning (use of song excerpts and Sberbank trademarks), as well as the use of election fund money above the legal limit — the LDPR claims that Yabloko’s campaign expenses in the federal campaign must be taken into account when determining spending for the regional elections.

🔵Yabloko has already been removed from the elections in St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Pskov regions, and in Karelia. In the last two regions, the party was removed from the elections following lawsuits by Rodina.

🔵In Kaliningrad Region, Communists of Russia are trying to remove Yabloko’s list from the regional parliament elections as well. The lawsuit will also be heard on August 28.

🔵Sverdlovsk Region has become the sixth region where attempts are being made to prevent Yabloko’s list from taking part in regional parliament elections.
