The CIA director’s visit to Russia was ‘semi-routine,’ Trump says

U.S. President Donald Trump commented for the first time on CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s visit to Moscow, which took place the day before.

“He’s there, in a way it’s a semi-routine procedure. I don’t want to disappoint anyone. We would like the war in Ukraine to end,” Trump said in an interview with radio host Glenn Beck.

He also denied reports that Ratcliffe had been sent to Russia because Putin was supposedly going to “test NATO’s resolve.”

At the same time, the U.S. leader noted that “something may come of” the CIA director’s visit to Russia, and that Washington is making every effort to end the war.

Just Another Visit During a War

Trump called the CIA chief's Moscow trip semi-routine.

Even this war now passes as routine.
