One person killed and 16 more injured in Kyiv and the region as a result of Russian army strikes
As Volodymyr Zelensky reported, overnight the Russian army launched “more than 40 missiles of various types, most of them at the capital, and 120 attack drones.” According to the authorities, one person was killed and 16 others were injured in Kyiv and the region.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said that strikes and fires were recorded in at least five districts of the Ukrainian capital: Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Desnianskyi, and Dniprovskyi.
Near Kyiv, in Bucha district, fires broke out on the grounds of warehouse buildings and a logistics facility. Two people were injured. By 10 a.m. Moscow time, the agency reported that all fires caused by the attack had been extinguished.
Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that in Kyiv the Nova Poshta sorting center and enterprises in the radio-electronic and space industries “were hit,” and in the region, a logistics center and fuel and lubricant storage tanks.
