MGIMO Vice Rector Natalia Kuzmina and her son declared wanted in a fraud case
MGIMO Vice Rector Natalia Kuzmina and her son Enver have been declared wanted in a particularly large-scale fraud case; they have been charged in absentia.
According to RBC, the Kuzmins are accused of organizing a scheme to alienate property that was jointly owned by the owners of premises in the Knightsbridge Private Park residential complex in central Moscow.
Mediazona clarifies that, judging by the Interior Ministry database, the Kuzmins were declared wanted as early as August 5.
The Kuzmins, RBC writes, are outside Russia. They deny their guilt.
In 2019, journalists Ksenia Luchenko and Ilya Azar, as well as Khamovniki district deputy Alexander Parushin, lost a lawsuit to the Kuzmin family after publications about development in Khamovniki. The court ordered them to pay a total of 800,000 rubles in compensation for damage to business reputation.
The grounds for the lawsuit were publications about the Kuzmin family’s connection to “fraud in the development of the territory of Khamovniki Bread Factory No. 6” and the demolition of the historic Chernikov house in Khamovniki.
