More than 5,000 people have been deprived of liberty with signs of political motive, according to Memorial. Since the beginning of 2026 alone, at least six have died in detention. Pressure is also increasing on those who help them: Memorial and OVD-Info have been designated extremist organizations.

On September 8-9, we are holding our third online conference, “Everyone for Everyone,” for everyone who helps political prisoners and their loved ones.

We will talk about technology in human rights work, fundraising under pressure, and the experience of our Belarusian colleagues. We will discuss the situation of Ukrainian civilians in detention and return to the “Help Map” — what has changed over the year and what is still lacking.
