Loyal information servants of the regime, traveling to the relatively safe rear of the “SMO zone” or even sitting in warm, safe studios, sell Russians an image of a “sacred” and “victorious” war, sometimes for enormous sums from the state budget. According to the journalists, the highest-paid turned out to be those who practically never go to the front. Z-bloggers, for example, earn 2-3 times more than “war correspondents.” Their annual income can exceed 10 million rubles. At the very top of the “payroll” were, predictably, media managers and TV hosts: Russians pay them hundreds of millions out of their own pockets.

Obviously, more than anyone else, they benefit from this war continuing forever. They themselves will never pick up a weapon and go assault a tree line somewhere near Pokrovsk. But they will gladly agitate others to go fight “against Nazis” and commit “heroic suicide” on the battlefield. Most of them would find themselves out of work if the war ended. And if Putin’s regime falls, virtually all of them would.

Russians, take a close look at these names and the impressive figures next to them. This money could have been spent on hospitals, schools, kindergartens, roads, and other benefits of civilization. But instead it goes to brainwashing, stoking hatred, and war. A war in which you yourselves are paying for your own death.
